CALIBER® Mare and Foal
The best start in life includes proper nutrition. Rapid growth and development occurs in the last trimester of pregnancy and in the first year of a horse’s life. During this period, the gastrointestinal tract (GIT) evolves, teeth are developed, bones mineralize and muscles strengthen. Because GIT capacity is limited during the same time that nutrient requirements are increased, it is important to provide high-quality feeds. Caliber Mare and Foal contains enough vitamins and trace minerals to supply a nutrient-dense diet that will meet young horse and pregnant and nursing mare requirements.
Amanda Van De Kerkhove, Ruminant Nutrionist at Federated Co-operative Limited, suggests serving five to eight pounds of this product for mares per day, and half a pound to two pounds per day for foals, depending on age.

This helps minimize digestive disturbances while supplying high levels of organic trace minerals, vitamins, amino acids and antioxidants. CALIBER® Performance
Caliber Performance is a high-energy formula fortified with amino acids to support the energy and protein requirements of your high-achieving performance horse. This allows them to perform to their greatest potential and supports quick muscle recovery. Caliber Performance has a balanced vitamin and organic trace mineral profile to maintain the health of active, mature horses. Concentrated antioxidants support immune function and further support muscle function and joint integrity, reducing damage from exercise. Available as textured feed, this ration also encourages intake in horses that are off-feed or known to be “picky eaters.”
CALIBER® Senior and Special Care
Caliber Senior and Special Care ration is specially designed to address the unique nutritional needs of the senior horse. Energy from fat and highly digestible fibre maintains body condition and promotes bowel function to reduce the risk of colic. With a high-feeding rate, it makes an excellent option for “hard keeping” horses or horses with worn or missing teeth. This feed is formulated to have a lower starch and sugar content (relative to the other Caliber horse feeds).
